How we evaluate and describe the condition of pre-owned items
Our grading system can help you understand the condition of the items sold in our store. Each item is assigned a label based on the visible evidence of use caused by wear, storage, and laundering. We evaluate each item and take care to document any significant flaws. You can find condition ratings in the item description tab of our product listings.
New
New condition items include tags and/or original packaging, with no evidence of wear.
Items described as “New” on this website have been previously owned by another party. The New condition label refers only to the status of the item and its history of use; it does not describe the chronological age of the item, nor does it imply that Menswear Market has any relationship or affiliation with the brand of the item or the company that manufactured the item. Please review our terms & conditions for more information.
Excellent
Items described as Excellent have no significant signs of use. These clothing items are typically worn 1-2 times, or not at all.
Very Good
Very good condition items may show light signs of wear, but the item remains in excellent overall condition.
Good
Good condition items have been worn and laundered, but exhibit no significant or severe signs of use. Any highly visible evidence of wear will be documented in the item description.
Fair
An item described as Fair has visible wear or visible damage, which will be disclosed in the item description. These items are often presentable; however, the buyer should use discretion and determine if the item is acceptable.
